[In pencil] - A. Berry to Jas. Macarthur

St. Leonards 10th October 1856

My Dear Mr. Macarthur

I regret that I have hitherto been unable to send your Nephew an order to select 20 or 30 heifers out of my Dairy herd.  I thought it would be a pity that he should go down before they were collected, and every thing ready.  I communicated however with my brother on the subject & he wrote me that he was then repairing the Cattle Punt, and that it would be some days before it was ready.

I shall send him to day your letter to me & request an answer by return of Post which I shall immediately communicate

James Macarthur Esqre, M.L.A.
