Brownlow Hill
July 7th 1871

My Dear Sir William

I beg to enclose you my Cheque for £111 One Hundred & Eleven pounds being half the gross amount of proceeds of (56) head of Fat Cattle sold by Messrs. Dawson & Co.  I regret the price is not much better;  I sold two of the worst of the Cows in Camden at £3.15. 0, & must try another Auctioneer with what we have left, and send to Armidale yards.

I remain
Yours very truly

J.F. Downes
