Sir William Macarthur

Dear Sir

I purpose to take a tour through the west of Sterlingshire [Stirlingshire] the end of this week.  After going over part of the Vale of the Endric [Endrick] I will go into Ayrshire.  After I look over the animals I will write you.  Perhaps you leave for Salisbury by Monday first, if so, write me your address in Salisbury.  I hope you will be able to come into Ayrshire by the end of the week of the Salisbury show and afterwards make a selection out of the animals I examined previously.  I think that the sooner the stock is put into training the better.
