BRITISH ADMINISTRATION - GERMAN NEW GUINEA:

Rabaul,
New Britain,
2nd January 1915

The Honorable,
The Minister of State for Defence,
Melbourne:

Sir;
Herewith is forwarded for the consideration of the Navy Board, three Accounts by Komine, a Japanese Ship Builder of Rabaul, for work performed by him for the Royal Australian Navy, together with report on same by Lieut. Commander Jackson, R.N.

Komine has asked me to  personally urge the payment of his account as early as possible, as, owing to War conditions, he has been unable to obtain funds from his country, and is considerably short  of money.

Komine has been of great assistance to the Navy and the Administration, and I ask that his request be complied with.

(Sgd.)   William Holmes, Colonel,
Administrator.
