that I have ever seen –  it is not navigable, but runs rapidly over a pebbly bottom, and abounds in fine Salmon & trout. – Anne takes the same interest as I do in the place, and the physician who attends our family gives us reason to hope that her health may become more recruited than for long, after her expected confinement in June next – We have already a girl of 4½ who reads perfectly, & is smart & clever a Boy of 3 who is more wild & less lively, & a Girl of 2 who is at the present moment a great pet with her fond Parents owing to her many [winning?] little ways – Their tempers & disposition too, all promise well, as far as we can yet judge. –
