With regard to this balance we would repeat to you as we said last year, and as we have again written by this opportunity to Mr Bowman, that we desire to meet his convenience as to its discharge, but you will agree with us, we are sure in considering that we are entitled to expect some reasonable and specific proposal on the subject; and we trust that if the matter lies with you, you will favor us with an early communication in reference to it.

We confess that we are not a little disappointed at finding that the Wool from Mr Bowman's flock, was sent elsewhere in the past season, as we think that our position, as creditors disposed to act a friendly part, should have entitled us to the little advantage to its arrangement; and we do trust that another year this will be considered, as it was in fact the very basis in which arrangement to make Mr Bowman the advances that we did was founded. We need scarcely sat that the proceeds of such consignment would be strictly applied by us in accordance with whatever instructions might
