Campbells Wharf
18 Sept 1845

My dear Sir

The settlement of the Insurance in the Office here for £1600 on the Horses pr Theresa is on the other side, and for your proportion you will observe you have to send me a check for £33.4.1.

The "Elizabeth & Henry" by the newspapers today appears to have met with a sad loss.  I trust however our arrangements will insure us against such a misfortune.

We hold the proceeds of the Policy for £1600 in case of loss and money of same on your behalf in proportion to your interests declared, but I hope nothing of this kind will happen.

I remain
My dear Sir
Yours truly

Co. Campbell
