subsided: within the last two months we have lost Thirty out of the Dairy herd, "Lassie" one of the imported cows being amongst the number, the liver seems to me to be the principal part affected, the Dairy Cows are now all being bled and drenched with Salts &c, I sincerely hope it will prove a remedy.
We have plenty of Mangolds and Turnips for the Cows and Pigs, of the latter we killed Twelve very nice ones to-day, having a good deal of Pig Corn I hope to make as much Bacon as last year. I will forward an a/c of this years' maize by next mail.
