first.  If you think well of this, I will ride over on Wednesday or Thursday to see them &c.  I believe on acnt. of the Flood good Fat Stock will be scarce for a few weeks.

I have lost a great deal by the late Flood in Corn, Sorgum & Fencing, but things might have been much worse.  I had the Coach House full of Wheat, Barley & Wool, when the water came within six inches of it.
