when exhibited and of the first milking qualities.  The dam of the first highest priced heifer is now thirteen years old.  During the top of the grass she gave for several years 18 Scots pints of milk.  This is an almost incredible quantity.  There have been cows which gave 20 Scots pints but such are exceptional instances and not always believed by those conversant with the Ayrshire.  The cow, four year old, last season obtained
