and to dry the cow as far as possible previous to her leaving for London.  I consider it very desirable that the cow should be on board the ship dry, if possible, otherwise the sailors will milk her irregularly and thus injure her milking properties.  The colour is brown.

The other female is left to a second visit which I will pay to this quarter.  The one I fixed upon is a large three year old [grey?] not in milk colour brown.  I expect she will be served
