five yearling heifers got by the Paris Bull.  Price asked £12 each.  The Bull should be purchased.  I obtained a young bull out of a splendid herd of Prize cows.  This one you can have should you upon inspection feel satisfied that he will suit.  If you consider him small I can keep him till I find a merchant.  I have seen few heifers in Ayrshire suitable.  Tomorrow I will go into a district famed for Ayrshires.  But in the neighbourhood of Drymen, as good animals are to be got as in any part of Scotland.  The
