Hardship so I trust you will see that he is in that part of New Britain you have taken for us, Major R H Beardsmore is a constituent of mine & a good man at that I think he will do the right thing --- You will see by the papers that the war is proceeding alright & we expect to see you all back by Xmas or early in the New Year  The Board went to Potts Hill today to see the new shovel working the small ones are now out of use, the State Government is finding money a little hard to get but so far we have made no retrenchment & I hope we will not - we may have to slow up a little rain is very badly wanted in the country my son writes from Cowra , the wheat crop so far a failure.
