Military Government of New Guinea
Administration Order No. 27.
By Colonel S.A. Pethebridge, C.M.G., Administrator.
Rabaul, 13/1/15.

With a view to the prevention of dysentry, the Administrator directs that:-
1. A native policemen will be stationed at the roads entering the town, with instructions to prevent back country natives from entering Rabaul, and two on the foreshore to guard against their entry by water.
2. Soldiers are not to be allowed to visit native villages.
3. Holiday trips are not to be granted local natives.
4. No water should be used from house tanks for washing  up or drinking purposes.  Condensed water is available for this purpose.
5. Fruit and vegetables that are to be eaten uncooked are to be dipped in boiling water before use.
6. Any soldier suffering from dysentry will be taken at once to the Garrison Hospital for treatment.

This order to be read on parade to all troops.
