my left Flank, but at 7:30 p.m. received a message by cyclist on Toma Road from Commander Beresford that the country between Matinata and Takapur was so thick he could not get touch.  On the morning of the 16th inst., the Governor arrived at Herbertshohe and was received with Military honours; at 11:30 a.m. the O.C. British Troops arrived and interviewed the Governor. After the interview he was escorted safely through our outposts.
