Spent the morning seeing to wounded - every time we showed ourselves, they would put their machine guns on us and we would have to lay flat while they whizzed over us. The whole place littered with equipment, wounded and dead. Broken bayonets, rifles and ammunition every where.
Turks have 6 machine guns to a Battalion while we have two. Yesterday the ninth started their guns and the Turks dropped shrapnel on them and blew them to pieces. We were forced to
