15th relieved this morning. We had a fine rest today. During the afternoon we went to the beach for a swim. Had a good one. On the way back two shraphnel shells burst in the middle of us. Only hit two of our party but hit 14 others standing around.
Our guns bombarded the Turks position and gave them rough time. Made them squeak and retire about 400 yds.
Think we are going to charge them again tonight. Turks using hand grenades.
5th May
Tommies tried to take trenches on our right, lost Officers and were demoralized
