Our casualties up to tonight are nearly 4000.
Turks sunk one of our trawlers during the morning. Have between 125 and 150 thousands Turks fighting us. We are only 25000 to start with.
28th April
A few shells came amongst us this morning but things are a bit quieter except for the incessant rifle fire.
Sheregold got shrapnel in the hand and broke a few bones. One machine gunner killed (Anderson). Capt Richardson was wounded yesterday afternoon. Capt Moran takes his place. Jock Milne seriously wounded also Wally Cox. Word through as to state of Turks. Dead piled in heaps. Having a very rough time. Queen E blew one of their armoured trains and ammunition up, also a mile of Railway
