during the night, our Causulaties being only nine while they had heavy losses. The Battle ships were bombarding very heavy during the afternoon, and our artillery gave them a good supply of Iron Rations (Schrapnel).
14th May
Position unchanged firing still very heavy our Casulaties for the day being 1 killed 6 wounded. 13th, 15th & 16th Batl. relieved by L H Brg for 6 days rest which is very nice. Turks gave us twenty four hours to surrender. I think they are just about on their last. One of our Aeroplanes missing since Tuesday. Caught 2 Snipers.
15th May
Battle waged heavily all through the day. Turks artillery very active but doing very little damage, our schrapnel very effective. Causulaties during being 2 killed, 7 wounded
