hold on so they filled in the trenches and then retreated. our casualties are something like 150 killed and wounded and missing including 1 Officer killed, 5 wounded. we captured two of their machine guns also 40 prisoners. Shrapnel Bombs and Rifle fire was very heavy right up till about 12.20pm when it slackened off a bit. during the afternoon another 7 Turks surrendered and they said they have only had six days training when they were put into the firing line also that they are using up all their reserves. the 4th Brg is still in the rest Camp so when there's nothing doing I open a Barbers Shop cutting the boys hair for them. I indulged in another swim this afternoon. issue of a new uniform today, a khaki which is [indecipherable] & cool.
