7. Vendredi Walked over to other bank of river to see George Prentice who is sick in hospital with a fever Had a long yarn

7 VENDREDI. [Friday]
On revetting fatigue at C sections horselines up on hill.
The fields are rather pretty with the crops of oats barley assorted grasses, clover, bright red poppies cornflowers field daisies & other flowers in thick profusion, sometimes in whole plotes plots by them selves & sometimes intermingled with the crops.
8 SAMEDI. [Saturday]
Sent in party of 4 to C Section (Headquarters) camp on the Amiens-Corbie Road to camouflage tents with dyes.
Did some trigonometry with Teddy F. & stayed to tea at dressing room.
Capt Samson has just joined the amb from the artillery detail. I shook hands & had a few words with him.
