FEVRIER  [February]

21  JEUDI.  [Thursday]
We lived in this very strong concrete dugout very happily for 2 days, doing our own cooking & only having 3 walking cases. Then our relief arriving we moved on, during the morning to the 40th RAP [Regimental Aid Post] called Douve RAP. This dug out is constructed of elephant iron & dirt the space being cut into the side of a embankment of the Douve which runs almost beside th  in front of the door.

22  VENDREDI.[Friday]
Here we also stayed for two days having a quiet pleasant time with only two stretcher cases to take down to the relay post. This RAP was well back from the front line — nearly 1000 yards.
The AMC[Army Medical Corps] detail were in charge of a brigade YMCA free cocoa & biscuit stall & of course we benefited. We did our own cooking on a primus stove.
I progressed with my 1917 diary.
