29 DIMANCHE. [Sunday]  
Quiet day at DHQ
The market days in the village here (Oisemont). All the farmers around bring their spare stock one day now & again & have an auction sale (also many drunks)
Every Saturday is market day & the village square is filled with stalls selling butter, eggs, meat fancy goods, footware etc and
30 LUNDI. [Monday]    
all the old girls of the township & surrounding villages gather together to do their shopping and then gossip till the rain or dark about 4.45 drives them home.
Meat averages about 3/6 lb Eggs 5d each.
Bread & sugar are still obtained by ration cards but bread is buyable without as well.
