where he was but later on I found he arrived earlier & was sound asleep in bed. So we retired amongst some straw, one chap got out some Tongue & we had a good supper, changed our cloths & went to bed, another party went to the local Police Station & put the night in there. If ever one felt fed up it was that night but next day found us having more experience with the French wells, this one was three hundred feet deep.   After breakfast one had time to look around the chateau which was in a tiny village called Quilingcourt.
