Well all this time the weather was getting real Hot & we begun to feel the heat very much. On March 27th we struck camp & left on a 40 mile route march to the canal, a different part this time, from beginning to end the march was simply awful which does not say much for the organisation. Most of the men of the 14th Brigade were not in a condition to do such a march, as the higher command wanted it done. How the 8th F. Amb came to be with the 14th Brigade was that the 14th F. Amb. were not yet a complete unit, so our own Brigade went by train & we had to march, the first day went well 14 miles were covered by 2.30 PM & we camped at a place called
