We still continued our simple life, all this time the weather was getting hotter & the canal saw us very often having a bathe in its cool waters, all good things come to an end so we said good bye to the canal & Indians on Feb 26th after spending 2 ½ months in that quiet but pleasant spot. We entrained on the light railway & later on to the larger trains & arrived at Tel-el-Kebir 7.30 same day. This was a very large camp indeed full of Australians plenty of games & gambling going on & there were wet & dry canteens all over the place, one could also get plenty of eggs & cakes so we
