It has stopped raining, what a change, mud is everywhere & If one puts a dixie under the water cart it almost sinks before its full of water into the mud. The nights  are very cold & Frosty, the stretcher bearers & Infantrymen must be having a fearful time. The rations are good & we feed well over our number of men. Fuel is scarce, plenty of wet wood arround & we have
