at the back of the school. Many a good feed I had with them and such fine coffee. How sorry all of us were to leave such a good billet. 1918 found the place destroyed by the Huns. B section ran the baths of the town for soldiers. It is the second time our boys have run the Divisional baths. I made a great number of friends in Estaires & we had many a good concert at the Y.M.C.A. and some of the boys would speak at the debates and one or two preach sermons on Sunday at the services. So on Sept 22 we said goodbye to Estaires with a rumour we would be back there in ten or twelve days, but we went to a very different place as you will soon see for yourselves.
