They seemed to have had a great time at Marseilles also along the road from Abbeyville [also spelt Abbeville]. Our Battalion band used to play in the market square of an evening, we got paid while we were here & most of us sampled French Beer and declared it quite harmless, not so was the case of the French wine & headaches were plentiful next day.
