Aredrome Camp & we turned in very tired. The first thing that greeted us next day were the Egyptians selling papers, they speak English well & are very funny & cute. We also saw the famous pyramids in the distance, we were only half a mile from Heliopolis & seven miles from Cairo, so we lose no time in seeing both these places although we were warned not to go to Cairo. The rest of the unit soon joined us up & we had a good time in this camp during the short time we were here. The Egyptians were always asking for Backsheesh (money) selling Fruit Sticks & etc. Cairo.
