Section, Aleck Getwell, poor Alick, was afterwards killed in action on the Somme in France. This method was rather good until we nearly set the place on fire & then we were stopped by the officers, we still carried on our work under trying conditions, the weather was fearfully trying hot almost unbearable & we were almost like spots of greese. On May 13th we left Rail Head for Ferry Post where we arrived same day here we were able to Bathe in the canal every day & we also had a field day, a sham fight plenty of parades & dicipline we
