something would not prevent me taking the leave.)On arrival at the capital I had to go to the Canadian Report Centre & register and then went to the British Leave Club, Place de la Republique where I put up for the night. This evening there was a dance in full swing at the club. This centre which has been organized mainly by English residents of Paris, is quite a live institution and is doing good work for chaps going to Paris on leave.The following morning I spent in the city and tried to make arrangements when booking a seat on the train, to get to Rome via Switzerland wearing plain clothes while traversing a neutral country.
