During the time your Brother David remained at Koonong Woolong he borrowed a quantity of Wool Bags, Sugar, Tobacco, &c &c from me and promised  to return them on the return  of your wool drays from Port Fairy however they came back empty and even did not bring the ropes I lent them with 6 pr bullock hobbles Mr Campbell borrowed from Kelley & he Mr C paid Kelley for them. When your brother left for Melbourne he requested me not to send in my a/c and promised most faithfully that as soon as he had settled with you he would call and pay me. (I have not seen him since) on his return instead of calling on me he [page torn] a note from Mr Youngs - [page torn] following is a true copy [page torn]
