To Messers Walton & Co

According to promise I send you a correct account muster of my cattle now at the Murray, they are as follows, 3 Bulls, 186 Bullocks and Steers from 18 months to 3 years old, 16 Male Calves 53 Cows, 177 Heifers and 10 Heifer calves. Total 415 Head all branded JH near hip. The Heifers are from eighteen months to three years old. You may calculate on 100 of them to come in for the dairy next Spring

Sir
As you have taken upon yourself to leave Cooksvale and reside in Sydney without my consent and you will not (although so repeatedly requested) render your accts not to mention purchasing cattle of persons that could not come honestly by them, and a total neglect of my business, renting land of others &c &c &c all of which I can prove if required This is to inform you therefore that I have this day sent a notice to Ivagdon not to allow anything to be removed from the station without my written order (your furniture excepted) I further beg to inform you that unless your a/cts are balanced and a regular settlement takes place in 10 days from this date, I shall send a proper person up and distrain for the full amt of rent due to me and eject you from the land.
