Hugh Taylor v James. In March Sittings you gave a verdict in favour of my Agent for Ten pounds. On the 18th April he applied for a warrant of Execution for which he paid the Registrar; but finding no proceeds to be forthcoming and learning that the Execution had not been served, he applied and paid for another warrant on the 13th May, which has also been neglected to have been served. A third application has been made, and the [indecipherable] is promised to be issued, on the condition of the Fees being paid, and my Agent serving it himself.
I believe these statements to be correct; and I am certain you will issue such orders to your officers in Parramatta, as to correct the evil of which I complain, and to expedite my receiving the Amt of my debt before the Defendant makes away owing both the whole of his property by making one of those unjust transfers that are so common in thia Colony.

In conformity with the regulations I request Six Convict Servants be assigned to me of the following description viz Two Shepherds & four farming men. I reside at Mataval in the County of Cumberland. I am a Settler and hold 5200 Acres of land, of which 1000 Acres are cleared, and 540 Acres are in tillage. I possess 502 Head of Cattle and 3794 Sheep. I now employ 27 Free, and 42 Convict Servants. 26 of the above have been in my service upwards of three years and 16 upwards of one year.
