In reply to your letter of the 15th we now make offer to advance Eight pence per lb on the wool you may ship in the Mary Hope say from 150 to 200 Bales if addressed to our Agents, subject to the following conditions Viz "That the advance shall become due one month after the Vessel sails " as having some bills due about that time we shall then be prepared to meet it, & "that you will take part of it in goods,"
With regard to the questions you put as to the weight accounted for in [?]/ sales, tare of the bag, & commission &c, we are not so well acquainted with the usages of the wool trade as to be prepared to answer them, but should you think well of our proposal and consign your wool to our friends you may rely on having everything done for your interest & that the Charges will be as moderate as the custom of the trade will allow. Requesting the favour of your answer.
