Dear Herbert & Jess.
I have received 2 parcels from you during the last few days. They contained the following things, 1 tin Milk 1Pkt Cocoa 1 bag Biscuits 1 bag Lollies 1 tin Lollies 4 packets Cigars & the other parcel contd. 4 pkts Cigarettes 2 pkts Butterscoth Biscuits Jam Cocoa Milk Peanuts & a few pairs of laces. Well all I can say is thankyou very much for these things & I can tell you I appreciate them all. Practically all the things are unobtainable & the lucky presence of Capstan Cigarettes are is very much envied by the troops. We started on the jam & Milk
