I see by the papers that Victoria beat NSW at Cricket. I wish I was there. I am satisfied that Australa is the best place on earth. This is a rotten place although that trip through the Valley of the Rhone through Marseilles to Havre is hard to beat. Of course I have been mostly in the devastated areas of France & I cannot judge the rest of the Country by the War area. It will be February 10th before I get letters from Australia & it will be exactly a month without letters. I hope there is a big bundle for me at the Batt. Well Herbert & Jess, goodness knows when I will see Sydney. I know it will be a long time & I can only live in hopes of being home sooner. Give my love to little Thora.
