present training at Codford, Wiltshire. We are about 70 miles from London. I am going on leave to Aberdeen in Scotland in about 10 days time. They gave us 7 days. I am going to spend 4 days in Scotland, 2 days in London & 1 day at Lincoln. Billy Hughes arrived at Euston Station, London at 3 pm today & you ought to see how the papers here boost him up still. They call him the great Australian Prime Miniter. It is colder now than winter in Australia although it is Summer. It is daylight here till 10 pm. We are on rations in England here & sometimes the tucker is reduced to starvation point. I will be in the trenches in 10 weeks time & will catch the winter in France. Returned soldiers here tell me that
