that half his letters only arrive. That is practically the only joy I have in life now is to receive & write letters.

It is nothing else but rain, rain here & it's just like Australia's Winter. They can say what they like Australia is the bonniest land in the world & I didn't appreciate it until I saw a bit of the world. After being in Egypt right through France & right through England to Scotland I can say that Australia is the best by a long way. We will just meet this big German offensive by the time we get to France. Billy Hughes is still here but no fuss is being made of him only a few articles in the Northcliffe Press now & then. Australia House is being opened in London soon. I was in the building when on leave & it is a beautiful building alright. All my letters to you about my trip from Egypt across the Mediterranean to Marseilles & then right through France to Havre (the British Base) have been lost so I am writing another one all about it to Ma & Pa & I will tell them to give it to you after they have read it. It will take me a few days to write it, so that one will do the lot. Well Herbert & Jess I will now close & hope to receive a few letters from you soon & write even if it is only 2 lines.

Good Bye for the present & remember me to little Thora.

Your loving Brother
Norman
