nice things you put in your parcel for me. I  still have those Agnes stay your mother gave me also the prayer book you gave me. I wrote your mother yesterday. I am writing Dooley tomorrow & remember me to him.

I am in the Y.M.C.A. tent now writing this & the phonograph is going & it is playing those sentimental songs that make me feel I want to be home once more. I often long for sunny Australia bright & free from curses of war. It is the best & cleanest place I have been in & no one is getting me out of it after the war. Well Herbert & Jess & little Thora I will close now & hope you are all well
