Simpson Mrs Hugh Murrie's brother in law

who lived on the Bo Bo was named Wollong

Palßo -from "Palßo" a Kangaroo Rat and

"Wollong" the head, some of the names were English

words added to - as Towebak for Storeman

that was Old Mr Buchanan's name - he was

store keeper at Bungay = Robert Easton was

very bald headed = he was called "Cobra Bald"

There is a creek on Nowendock named after

him, he was shepherding up there for the A.A.Co.

Daintrey's name bothered him, so they made it "Teatree"

I have heard yarns told as having been told

them by the very old men, I could not make  

much out of them, I remember one a young fellow

told me = we were talking about the Milkey

Way, their beleif about that was that it was

a big "Tonget'  (Diamond snake) but how it

got there they had no idea, I have thought since

that the following may have some connection

with their beleife about falling stars, I could

see no meaning in it when it was told me

"There was once - long ago, a Blackfellow

who went up to heaven (what for, or how I was

not told) he was walking about with a fire

stick and some stringey bark under his arm
