of Tivenbah = there was "Billey the Bold" he was not much

of a worker = he was slightly deformed, so realy[sic] could not

do much hard work, "Long Jackey" was a very fine made

man, over 6ft, but a regular old miall, he had very little

English, I never remember seeing him with any clothes on

he very seldom came near any house = used to live in the

Bush all his time at the camp, and lived on what he

got by hunting.  Gamgut Jackey had four sons Tomey Steel

Jimmo and  Down the River the Blacks were more numerus[sic]

and there were some fine fellows amongst them, I know very little

about them as they did not often come up our way = down on

the salt water they mostly lived by fishing I think there was

more of them down there than about Kimbriki. On the Dingo

there was another tribe = There was "Laughing Charley" I never

saw a mouth like Charleys on any human being  & doubt

if there ever was or will be one like it, it was emence,[immense] it

was something to dream about.  I am glad we have got a

Photo of him = if his mouth had only been open when he

was Photoed it would be worth something. There was

Billey Tasall   = When asked  his  name he always said

Billey = Tasall  (that's all) untill he got the name of Billey

Tasall  = Then out at Larry's Flat was another Tribe and

up the Manning about No1 station another lot - Old Bill

Jackey, Long Jackey, Big headed Mickey, but we did not

often see any of them, or of the Gloucester Blacks = Jack of

Clubs = Yarambabah, and lots whose names I forget
