as a poultice, with out the wieght on the sore, some

sore will draw it & the other side applied will
heal it = all rot = no one would be such a
fool as to put the under side of the leaf on a
raw sore = I have some times seen them with
a peice of a vine that grows in the Bush twisted
round their necks = they call it "Mouquat" the Whites
Myall Potatoe = it had tubers at the root which they
used to eat = I never tasted them = When asked what
that was for they would explain "'Got him Murry
bad cold", When anyone had a side ache or any
other ache, they used to lay down and the Dr of the
tribe used to rub and stroke, and suck the
place, and groan, and spit and make a great fuss
beginning about the neck and working down to
the feet and by the time he got there the bad Devil that was
tormenting the patient was glad to clear out = so
Dr said = he soon shifted him, I suppose the rubbing
and sucking used to do them some good = or they
fanceyed it did = which was just as good = and
the Dr got the credit Old Joheny Martin made
a great fuss about it, For a very bad cut =to
stop the bleading they used to put on a lot of
cobweb = that will soon stop it = [I never knew of
any games used at the camp = The Men "spun yarns"
