with her feet = what I suppose is giving him
her bleßing no big fight after it, I have forgoten
to say that after the first one I saw there was
a fight = but as spears, and Boomerangs particularly
go wide sometimes, I cleared out = no one was much
hurt, I think "Minner Minner [?] Possum" was dispenced
with, I never heard of its taking place, Some
of the Darkies that were not Pipeclayed but went
to bring the Boys to the Fire Place had sashes
on like Orangemen, It was a very poor imitation
of the first I saw, and it was the last ever held
in this district = never to be held again, as in a
few years there will not be a full blooded Black
here = I hve written all this to give you as
corect an idea of what they where, those left
now are a poor lot = I don't think I have told
you before that they often gave Whites native names
For instance - there was a sawyer here when we first
came Called "Tullumbak" I never heard any other name
for him = it was twisted by the Whites from "Towenbak"
I suppose he used a canoe from the name = another
sawyer Old Bracket was called "Tinna Coyal"
burnt foot, another "Terra midge" little leg or
rather thigh, Mr Witere[?] was called "Coyenbak"
from "Coyeck" a bird - realy "Birdman", Mr Rouly
of Bungay was "Beautichuck" hairy Arm
