not unlike it, Kangaroo Rat was quite eaqual to

Rabbit = [Paddymelon was not bad eating = we often

used them at first, and I have had stakes of Wallaby

very nice. Diamond snake was a favourite, I have

tasted it but did not like it, Flying Fox they liked

that was beyond me, I drew the line at Fox,_ I have

tasted most of their foods - but not that, I have seen

an old Gin take a Flying Fox and put it to her nose

seem  quite to enjoy the sent and keep on doing it as

if it was something lovely = Turtles were roasted and

eaten and the eggs were hunted = I never saw  them

cook them = perhaps they did but I have always

seen them eaten raw = like Goosberries = rather risky

to do I fancy = but it made no diference to them

if there was a young turtle inside, The Grubs were

eaten bothe cooked and raw. if they cut out one of the

Longicorns that the grubs turned to = if not  too  old they

would pull off the wing cases and roast and eat

it, They used the roots of the large rush that you will
