Possum &  Bear taste too much of Gum leaves to be liked

by a White, Birds they did not do too much with, Turckeys

they could spear, and their eggs were hunted up

a great lot used to be got out of a nest - Ducks they

sometimes got, and the Black swans = these were sort

of extras, Wallaby, Paddymelon and Opossum were their

main dependance, I have seen the Gins at Cooplacuraph

go out and in half an hour return with three or four

Possums = They would cut them out  of the hollow trees

After some years they did not hunt much., I doubt if

some of the young Darkies that are about now could

throw a spear streight or go up a tree, or get a living

in the Bush  = they got  into a way of trying to be

like a "Whitefellow", Once at Bungay there were

a lot camping there and they made if up to be

like "Whitefellow" & Keep Xmas and have "Plumb duff

so "Bobby belonging to Robert" bought some flour, sugar,

plumbs, &c and Mary undertook to make the duff

they borrowed a three leged iron pot - but sad to say

she forgot all abouut the cloth to boil it in - when

Bobby went to see if the duff was done it was

soup - Bob capside the pot, and there was  a row

instead of a Xmas. The Children always look-

ed fat and well and like all Children all over

the world, full of mischief, I never saw them play

at any games = their only game was throwing Paddymelon
