Dear Herbert & Jess,
I am at present at Weymouth awaiting the Boat for Aussie. I am in Quota No 47 & will be here anything up to 8 weeks before leaving. I am going on leave on Monday 19th. I am going to Ireland to the place where Ma came from. I wrote home a few weeks ago saying that I was going to Ireland & then later I said I was only going to London as I had not sufficient money. But yesterday I changed my mind & will go to Ireland. I am first going to London & then catch the train at Euston Station for Holyhead. I will get to Dublin somehow from there.
