& that is they put up the prices on us because they know we get paid well. I went into Oisemont on Saturday & they wanted to charge me 5/4 for a lb of butter. I sent you & Jess & Thora a card each for Christmas. They are not very good ones but it was the best I could do. It is jolly cold here now & every bit of water is covered with ice.
I can only write for half an hour at a time because I am nearly frozen by that time & I have to walk about to get warm.
I received a packet from home dated Sept 19th.
Well Herbert & Jess I will close & hope you are all well & tell little Thora I will be home soon. Heres a x for her
