of words used in talking to Darkies that were

own language = "Bail" for No, "Mimdoe" for foot

"Putter'  for eat or food "Piellow" for talk, "Cobon"

for big, Boomarang, Nunanulla, Womera, were

all introduced words, understood all over the

Conony, When the Whites were talking to a Black

or they to a White this sort of jargan was always

used = I have heard them use an odd word  of the

"Commellaroy" that was used by all the BLacks over  

the ranbge = The Darkeys were very proud if they

could speak "Comleroy" as they called it, it was

it was spoken all down the Namoi &  Barwon and and those Rivers

But to go back "Coolamans" were made out of

those big worts or excresences that are found on

the Gumtrees, these are almost always hollow, but

if not were easily cleaned out, and were used

for carring wter, I have seen some that would

hold a good bucket full of water = but they  

could not boil in them = For bad cuts or a sore place they used a leaf of the Arum - "Cungaway["]

as the Whites call it (Beautuck) bound onto the

cut or sore and for a boil I do not know

anything so good or so comfortable = it acts as
